A run through the guidance for mediators and the dilemmas of practice.

We review the mediator Code of Conduct and exaimine what it's 4 principles mean for mediators.

There will be an exploration of the gap between theory and practice.

We cover the areas where mediators can become part of the problem and where they may lose neutrality and become partial, including the design and control of the mediation process, pressure to settle, and how the mediator may imprint the process.

We review mediator power, how it arises and how abuse of power can be avoided.

A must for all mediators.

The session ends with an intereactive workshop on mediaton ethics.
