Need a mediator?

LSM has a panel of highly skilled and experienced mediators with a wide range of skills for a vast array of disputes. Some are lawyers or judges, others have no legal training but come from HR, accountancy and business backgrounds.

All of our panel members are fully accredited and insured civil and commercial mediators, some are specialist workplace and employment mediators.

What to expect

A mediator will facilitate a settlement with the person you are in dispute with based on your respective needs, fears, interests and concerns. The mediator will ask probing questions to establish your assessment of risk and to encourage the generation of settlement options. The mediator will not provide advice or impose a solution. You remain in control of the outcome.

Benefits of mediation

Mediation is quick, confidential, creative and cost-effective. It also allows you to preserve or rebuild relationships. You do not need all of the information you might want at trial. In the workplace, mediation can increase efficiency and profitability by engaging and empowering employees to resolve their disputes.

How long does a mediation take?

Mediations generally take about 4 to 6 hours. A mediation can be arranged at short notice and our mediators will travel to your chosen venue.

Does it work?

Yes! In our experience, 95% of mediations result in a settlement on the day.
