Amymay Bowes

Amymay Bowes

Professional

Amymay originally trained as an actor with the now sadly defunct Webber Douglas Academy. You may well still find some of her adverts, voiceover, comedy work and TV episodes from the early noughties tucked away online somewhere.  She is reliably informed her mother still has them all on VHS.

Later Amymay worked in mental health services in forensic, acute and long-term psychiatry before working as an addiction therapist specialising in food disorders and alcoholism.

Looking for a change, the segue into mediation from acting then therapy was surprisingly natural.  Amymay qualified with the London School of Mediation in Civil and Commercial Disputes in 2019 and then Workplace Mediation in 2020.

Amymay has since gone on to specialise in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and volunteers as a mediator with a charity that tackles neighbourhood disputes and social housing issues.
